Who We Are:

Empowered By The Word Ministries is a Bible believing, Bible-teaching church. We stand uncompromisingly for the inspired Word of God and seek to apply the unchanging principles of God’s Word to the pressing problems of modern life, exalting its central figure, the Lord Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to reach people for Jesus Christ, bring them into membership in His family, teach them to develop Christ-like maturity, train them for their ministry in the church and send them out to fulfill their life mission in the world, in order to magnify God’s name.

Your Purpose:

The search for purpose in life has puzzled people for thousands of years because we usually look in the wrong place: ourselves. While society and self-help books disagree you won't discover purpose by looking within yourself. Only God, the creator of life, can reveal your purpose here on earth. "Everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, ...everything got started in Him and finds its purpose in Him" (Colossians 1:16, The Message).

To know God's purpose for your life means you need to know God. God desires to have a relationship with you and show you your purpose in life, but sin has separated man from God. In order to restore man's relationship with God, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you and pay the penalty for your sin. Because the penalty for sin has been paid, you can have a relationship directly with God but it requires an individual response from you to receive it. To accept Jesus into your heart you have to acknowledge that:

1. We are sinful "For all have sinned and fall short the glory

of God" Romans 3:23

2. Be willing to repent and turn away from sin. "For the

wages of sin is death" Romans 6:23

3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross. "But

God demonstrates His wonderful love for us in this: While

we were still sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8

4. You must receive Him. "Yet to all who receive Him to

those who believed in His name, He gave the right to

become children of God" John 1:12

5. Receiving Christ into your heart is as simple as asking Him

to come into your life. You could pray a simple prayer

*GOD, I KNOW THAT I AM A SINNER AND NEED YOUR FORGIVENESS. I BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR MY SINS. I WANT TO TURN FROM MY SINS. I INVITE JESUS CHRIST TO COME INTO MY HEART AND LIFE AS MY PERSONAL SAVIOR AND LORD OF MY LIFE. In JESUS Name, Amen.

We Believe:

We believe the Bible is Holy and inspired by God. It contains the True Word of God which is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20)
We believe the Bible is the final authority in faith and conduct.
We believe God loves us so much that He came and lived in the world as Jesus Christ to die for our sins to give us the opportunity to accept His Gift of Eternal Life. (John 3:16)
We believe anyone who truly wants to accept the gift of salvation can receive it through the Blood of Jesus Christ by the rebirth of the Holy Spirit. (1 John 2:2, John 3:5-7)
We believe there is but one God, eternally existent and manifested in the triune Godhead, three persons co-equal in power and purpose - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7, Matthew 28:19) Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man.
We believe that divine healing is the power of the Lord Jesus Christ to heal the sick and the afflicted in answer to believing prayer. (James 5:14-16)
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the incoming of the promised Comforter in mighty and glorious fullness to endue the believer with power from on high; to glorify and exalt the Lord Jesus. (Acts 1:5,8, Acts 2:4)
We believe the second coming of Jesus Christ is personal and imminent; that He will descend from Heaven in the clouds of glory. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Requested Points of Prayer for Pastors Allen & Sadie Judge

Lord, our God, may Your favor rest upon our pastors and establish the works of their hands. Equip our pastors with everything good for doing Your will. Father, protect them from the attacks of Satan.
Give them strength to endure temptation and stand firm. Protect and guard them from the deceitfulness of sin. Keep their conscience tender and fresh. Keep them close to You and close to Your word.
Encourage them by the power of Your Spirit. Refresh their souls with the love of Christ. Let them have faith for the future.
Help them stand on Your word and only Your word. Protect them from the temptation to abandon the precious truths laid out in Scripture.
Please give them a supernatural healthy marriage. Strengthen the bonds in their marriage. Encourage them both in ministry.
Finally, give them true, deep, sustaining friendships. Give them friends who stick closer than brothers. Who will uphold them when they’re weary and who will help carry their burdens.
