Corporate Daniel Fast: July 8 - July 28, 2024
General Information
- Starting Monday, July 8th, we warmly invite you to join Empowered By The Word Ministries in a church-wide 21-day Daniel Fast. This is not just an individual journey, but a collective effort to draw closer to God. We believe that prayer brings us closer to God, and fasting will help disconnect us from the things that pull us away from Him. There is no better way to reset our spiritual compass than by humbling ourselves, seeking His face, and turning from all unrighteousness. When we make it about Jesus, it changes EVERYTHING for us as a community!
- We pray that God will bring spiritual breakthroughs in areas where you desire personal breakthroughs. We are also fasting and praying for Empowered By The Word Ministries, The Body of Christ, and all God-fearing Pastors and churches worldwide. We especially fast and pray specifically in the following areas:
1. Matthew 9:35-38 Pray earnestly for the end-time harvest of souls and labors
2. Individual/Corporate Evangelism, Repentance and Revival
3. Spiritual growth and outpouring of the Holy Spirit
4. An awakening of holiness and humility in the church
5. Health, Wholeness, and Healing in body, soul, and spirit
6. Restoration, healing, and unity in families
7. Revival in the United States of America, especially in Government
8. Financial outpouring into the hands of givers to fund God’s end-time harvest
9. New Worship Center - Growth in ministry to support the vision of EBWM
10. Blessings upon Israel & Open hearts to the Gospel of Jesus Christ
WHAT DO I DO DURING MY FAST?
Fasting is not something we offer up to God; instead, it assists us in offering ourselves up to God (Rom. 12:1-2). Remember, prayer is essential. During times when you would generally eat, exercise, watch TV, use social media, or socialize on the phone, you can use that time to pray. We are here to support you and provide guidance throughout this journey.
- Worship (Nehemiah 9:1-3; Acts 13:1-3)
- Petition (Daniel 9:3,17)
- Reading the Word of God (Nehemiah 9:1-3; Jeremiah 36:6)
- Humbling yourself before God (Ezra 8:21)
- Asking for direction and guidance (Judges 20:19-46; Ezra 8:21)
- Mourning (1 Samuel 31:8-13; Nehemiah 1:3-10; Esther 4:1-4)
- Confession of sins (1 Samuel 7:6; 2 Samuel 1:12; Daniel 9:4-18; Nehemiah 9:1-3)
- Repentance (Joel 2:12-17)
God seeks our communion. During these 21 days, present your most sincere worship.
